The Russos appear to be directing a superhero movie, but The Gray Man is certainly not one as they return to their spy thriller roots.
And despite the fact that you may assume a movie like this would require a tonne of special effects and technological prowess, the Russo brothers don’t seem to be into that.
Instead, they’ve gone back to the drawing board and created a classic spy thriller, where the key to engaging the audience is to establish characters as early as possible.
The Gray Man is enjoyable, but it may not be what most people anticipate from an action-packed thriller based on a comic book series starring an actor who was formerly known for playing superheroes. It’s pretty much exactly what you’d expect from a movie like this (and now is known for playing spies).
If you were a fan of the spy thriller that debuted on Netflix a few months ago, you must be considering the possibility of a sequel. You can get all the information you require about The Gray Man 2 right here.
Is There Going To Be The Gray Man 2?
Anthony and Joe Russo returned to the world of action with The Gray Man, one of the most expensive Netflix productions ever.
While they were away from the MCU and the magic they used to generate for our fans on the big screen, their espionage thriller tried to make a home in our hearts and establish itself as a suggestion for something more than an action thriller.
The Gray Man is a fantastic action thriller that has all the exciting action sequences with charming dudes who can kick some serious ass. It has everything you would expect from a spy thriller.
The movie had its premiere on July 15 and its digital distribution on July 22 on Netflix, which was ample time for fans to make predictions about potential sequels and other works in the same genre.
Speaking of The Gray Man’s potential, there is undoubtedly some good news, as the Russo Brothers previously revealed plans to expand the franchise with a spin-off and a sequel that won’t be confined to just a few movies but will instead usher in a wide range of spy thrillers.
The Russo Brothers indicated that they will continue to work with the major streaming service Netflix to create and bring thrillers to the platform.
What Will The Sequel Hold For Us?
Given that the movie was based on a series of novels by Mark Greaney, it was expected that there would be at least a few Gray Man movies.
Another compelling reason to anticipate a sequel is the amount of support and adoration that the spy thriller has received.
Ryan Goslin is rumoured to play a crucial part in the sequel. The Russo Brothers and co-writer Stephen McFeely will collaborate on the movie’s direction.
