Vanessa Kirby Offered Sue Storm in New Fantastic Four Movie

It won’t be a surprise if Kirby is cast in the role of Sue Storm given her desire to play the character. After portraying The White Widow in the eighth “Mission: Impossible” movie, Princess Margaret in “The Crown,” Beth in “The Son,” Martha in “Pieces of a Woman,” Hattie in “Princess Margaret,” etc., the actress will join the movie if she accepts the part. Also following in the footsteps of Jessica Alba and Kate Mara, who portrayed Sue Storm in earlier “Fantastic Four” movies, is the actress. Lily James from “Pam & Tommy,” Jodie Comer from “Killing Eve,” and Amanda Seyfried from “The Dropout” were all previously mentioned as candidates for the part.

Marvel CEO Kevin Feige revealed the new “Fantastic Four” film in 2019. Finally, he admitted that the reboot won’t have an origin narrative. After first contemplating Jon Watts, who wanted to take a sabbatical from directing superhero movies after presiding over the three ‘Spider-Man’ movies in the MCU, Matt Shakman was chosen to oversee the picture. With “Cut Bank,” Shakman made his feature picture debut. He has also directed episodes of popular television series like “Game of Thrones,” “Succession,” “The Boys,” “Fargo,” “Mad Men,” etc.

The movie’s screenwriters were initially revealed to be Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer. Josh Friedman, whose resume includes “Avatar: The Way of Water,” was hired in March 2023 to rework the script. Friedman co-wrote “War of the Worlds” with Steven Spielberg and “The Black Dahlia” with Brian De Palma. He also co-created the shows “Foundation” on Apple TV+ and “Snowpiercer” on TNT. The movie is anticipated to start filming in London in January 2024, with a May 2, 2025, release date.
