Welcome to Chippendales Episode 8 Recap
The Chippendales business has exploded in the five years following Nick’s murder. After his botched effort to kill three former Chippendales employees, Steve runs into Ray in Switzerland. Steve is incredibly paranoid and believes that the FBI is following him. He suspects Ray, who is acting a little stranger than normal, of wanting to get him, as well as everyone else around him. Ray brings up Nick’s killing and the other atrocities Steve forced him to commit over the years as the two start chatting, but Steve is wise enough to avoid making any direct admissions. However, Ray gradually wears him down, and Steve finally says the things that show he was responsible for everything.
In a flashback, we see the person who shot Nick De Noia being detained by police for drug possession. He exposes everything when the police ask him to provide them with information in exchange for a lighter punishment. This brings the FBI to Ray, who initially denies everything but eventually decides to assist them in apprehending Steve. The chance arises when Steve requests that Ray travel to London and murder three former Adonis strippers who, in Steve’s opinion, are taking advantage of him. A meeting is scheduled where the FBI bugs the space to record Steve’s confession when Ray is unable to complete the task.
Welcome to Chippendales Finale Ending: Why did Steve Banerjee Kill Himself?
Steve Banerjee started his company alone, and at its conclusion, he is still by himself. Despite significant advancements made by Chippendales in the five years following Nick’s passing, Steve is left to manage the business alone. He still refuses to acknowledge that he is the one who forced all the individuals who contributed to Chippendales’ current reputation to leave. Even when it comes to the murder of Nick, he stubbornly denies any responsibility for his acts, but we can see that he feels awful about the impact his choices had on Irene.
Irene was the only person that Steve truly cared about except the Chippendales. He considered the others to be his staff. They had to obey his every command since they were beneath him. But Irene was his partner, and he treated her as such, save for the occasions when he went off on his own, which left his company in a much worse position. When Steve is finally apprehended, his only thoughts are of Irene and the Chippendales, and it is this notion that ultimately causes him to commit himself in jail.
In the previous episode, when the FBI informed Steve that the death of Nick De Noia, a Chippendales employee, constituted a federal crime, Steve learned that Chippendales’ legal position was considerably larger than he had anticipated. In the following five years, Chippendales expands even further, crossing continents. Once more, Steve learns that his business’s success is precisely what is making matters worse for him when it comes to the legalities.
Steve was aware that there was little any lawyer, no matter how well-known or skilled, could do because he had been captured on camera confessing to Nick’s murder. He is conscious of his impending life sentence. The fact that Chippendales will visit Irene is the only thing for which he is relieved. This was covered in their divorce agreement, where Steve stipulated that in the event of his death, his wife should get all of his assets. He did not, however, factor in the possibility of going to jail.
Steve is apprehended for murder, arson, and a few more offenses. His firm, which the government has designated as a criminal operation, is also affected by the severity of his crimes. This means that all of Steve’s possessions and assets will be forfeited the moment he is imprisoned, leaving the government free to do with them whatever they want. Steve believed that his divorce settlement would be upheld by the law and that his wife would receive everything he had laboriously built, safeguarding both their futures and those of their children.
Steve feels bad about placing Irene in such a scenario in the first place after realizing that she won’t get a single dime of his business after he goes to jail. Things would still be going well for the Chippendales and Irene would still be with him if it weren’t for his actions. She had put in just as much effort as Steve to make Chippendales a success, and now all of that was going to be taken away from her because of him. Life would be exceedingly difficult for Irene as a single mother of two kids with a husband who had been found guilty of murder and other crimes. Steve didn’t want to put her in a financial problem because that would just make things worse.
Nick’s presence haunts Steve, forcing him to consider his alternatives. He believes that he can still escape this situation and improve things, just like he did each time before. He has, however, since realized his error. Every time he tried to improve things, he ended up making them worse. This time, he can only leave the situation because there is nothing else he can do. His sentence will determine how much of the property seizure provision will apply. Irene will receive everything as planned if he is not convicted because the government won’t be able to carry out its plans without him. Steve murders himself the day before his sentencing in order to keep his company and leave everything to his family rather than the government.
