The two of them were seen striking each other on the footage. In the video, Dana and his wife Anne can be seen fighting physically while having a party in the VIP area of El Squid Roe in Cabo San Lucas. However, they were soon able to get apart.
Dana was smacked on the face by Anne on the video, and shortly after that, he struck his wife twice. After the event, Dana spoke with TMZ and said, “Unfortunately, that’s what occurred. My wife and I went out for New Year’s Eve.”
It continued, “There is never, ever an excuse for a guy to put his hands on a woman. I’m one of the guys, you’ve heard me say that for years. And here I am today discussing it on TMZ. I’ve been married to my wife for about 30 years. Since we were almost 12 years old, we had known one another. With three kids and having obviously been through some tough times together, this is one of those awful situations.
“I’m humiliated, but it’s also one of those times where we’re more worried for our kids,” he continued. We have three children, and since the video has surfaced, we have obviously showed the video to the kids and are currently more concerned with our family.
However, Anne stated to the media organization, “Dana and I have been married for almost 30 years. It would be an understatement to say that this is out of character for him because nothing like this has ever occurred.
Sadly, we were both drinking too much on New Year’s Eve, and things went out of hand on both sides, she said. As a family, we have discussed this and offered our condolences to one another. For the sake of our children, I only hope that others will respect our privacy.
