Illegal Door-to-door delivery of Alcohol in Andhra Pradesh
A similar case has emerged from Andhra Pradesh. Police seized around 30 liters of liquor from the bag of a Zomato delivery boy. According to media reports, a delivery boy has been caught by the police in Ramnayya Pet village of Kakinada Rural Mandal in East Godavari district. The young man was unlawfully carrying liquor in a Zomato bag. About 30 liters of country liquor loaded in bags have been found. Police have arrested the accused youth.
Liquor was delivered from house to house! “The young man was illegally supplying liquor in bags to people’s homes in the name of food delivery,” said police officer R Govindaraju. When the police searched during the course of the case, the matter was revealed. A case has been registered against the accused youth. Illegal liquor sales tell us that a similar case has come up earlier. Earlier, police had seized 498 bottles of liquor during a search operation in Janardhanavaram village in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh and arrested several people.
