Halo Cast And The Actors Who Are Playing Them In The Paramount+ Series

For the past twenty years, the video game franchise Halo has become well-known. Any television series based on one of the most well-known video game franchises ever has a rather heavy burden, it is fair to say. What actors can be seen in the upcoming Paramount+ film Halo, directed by Steven Kane (The Last Ship) and starring Kyle Killen (Lone Star), on March 24? Watch the trailer below if you haven’t already to see these actors in action.

Watch the Halo Trailer

The show is clearly adhering to the game’s aesthetic in terms of locations, gear, and themes based on the trailer. It’s also obvious that the story of Master Chief, the protagonist of the Halo video games, will be at the centre of Halo. So let’s start by taking a peek at our Master Chief.

Bokeem Woodbine as Soren-066

Image from the Emmy-nominated Marvel Studios The part of Soren-066 will be played by Bokeem Woodbine (Fargo, Spider-Man: Homecoming), who in the video game series was given a desk job at the UNSC after becoming malformed as a youngster while undergoing tests in the SPARTAN II programme. Although we are unsure of whether the show will continue with his past from the video games, we do know that this character will undoubtedly be complex. He is being played by Woodbine, who undoubtedly possesses the qualifications for this kind of character, and we eagerly anticipate seeing his acting prowess on the show.

Charlie Murphy as Makee

Charlie Murphy will portray the Covenant’s eerie, human face (Peaky Blinders). Makee is a fictional human being who was nurtured by the Covenant after joining their ways. Within minutes of meeting Makee, audiences will learn why the Covenant spared her from destruction, according to Frank O’Connor, Franchise Development Director at 343 Industries. Additionally, he stated that anyone who is familiar with the Halo video games should be aware of the reasoning for this choice.

Danny Sapani as Captain Jacob Keyes

Although we haven’t yet seen the teaser highlight their friendship, Captain Jacob Keyes and Master Chief are friends in the video games. He was romantically involved with Dr. Halsey, and the two of them have a daughter, Miranda Keyes, who might have more of an impact on the programme. Danny Sapani, who has been in both Black Panther and Star Wars: The Last Jedi, will play the part. Sapani is no stranger to the sci-fi genre.

Jen Taylor as Cortana

Jen Taylor’s voice is well-known to everyone who has played Halo. She is the actor who has provided the voice for Master Chief’s incredibly smart and helpful AI partner throughout the whole game series, which has lasted for more than 20 years. It is wonderful to see that she has been included in the live-action remake. Even though Cortana has a brand-new appearance, it is a wonderful touch of familiarity because losing her incredible voice may have incensed fans.

Natascha McElhone as Dr. Catherine Elizabeth Halsey

Originator of the SPARTAN II programme and enemy in the franchise, Dr. Halsey oversaw the kidnapping and child experimentation that produced Master Chief and other super troops. Since her roles in The Truman Show and Californication, Natascha McElhone has been well-known. Now, she is back in a brand-new environment. As seen in the trailer, Dr. Halsey must control Master Chief when he starts to defy his severe rules. Dr. Halsey may not be exactly the antagonist she is in the video game franchise, but McElhone’s portrayal of a tad of doubt and resistance, which we also witness, is terrific.

Olive Gray as Dr. Miranda Keyes

They are both members of the UNSC from the video, working alongside the Spartans on the “holy ring,” better known as… Halo. Miranda Keyes, the daughter of Jacob Keyes and Catherine Halsey, has a tense relationship with her career-driven mother in the games. Since Olive Gray has been working in the acting industry and has landed lead roles in programmes like Half Moon Investigations since they were young, it is clear that they will play a significant role in the future.

Pablo Schreiber as Master Chief

Pablo Schreiber will portray Master Chief Petty Officer John-117 (also known as Master Chief) (Orange is the New Black, American Gods). Master Chief is a super soldier created by the United Nations Space Command (UNSC) to be the greatest of the SPARTAN II programme, designed to both manage and protect the human race. He is the hero of both the Halo video game franchise and the Halo: The TV series. Although Master Chief is never shown without his armour in the video games, the teaser has already caused controversy by, well, uncovering Master Chief. In a recent interview with The Nerds of Color, Schreiber stated that the showrunners made a conscious effort to highlight the contrast between the super soldier and the person wearing the suit.

Schreiber discussed what it was like to receive the call to play Master Chief in an interview with Collider’s own Steve Weintraub, adding, “The people I’ve been able to work with as colleagues make me feel incredibly privileged. But this is a professional opportunity, right? It’s a chance, my first chance to take the lead in a show. And that entails a great deal of obligations, not to mention how you behave on set and the example you set for the rest of the cast and crew. Then, all you want is for it to be excellent.”

Yerin Ha as Kwan Ha Boo

This character was developed for the programme and is a brand-new entry for the franchise. The SPARTAN II programme was created to put an end to the human insurrectionists known as Kwan Ha Boo, but as we can see in the teaser, they also help to reveal some of Master Chief’s humanity as he gets entangled in the show’s politics. For rising star Yerin Ha, who had to go through physical training for the show’s battle scenes, it is a demanding job.
