She wrote on Twitter, “Being an actress isn’t as much fun as it might look.” She wrote about why she did what she did, “If I no longer enjoy doing something, I stop doing it. I’ve stopped acting because I no longer enjoy it. I know that 24 is a young age to retire, but you heard it here first.”
Bynes’s last role was as Marianne in “Easy A,” a romantic comedy starring Emma Stone. The former Nickelodeon star felt bad about herself, which made her decide to give up. She told Paper Magazine in 2018: “I couldn’t stand how I looked in that movie, and I didn’t like how I acted in it.
