What was the cause behind the death of Anna Shay?
Anna Shay, a reality television star, is no longer with us. She passed away recently following a stroke. She was 62 years old when she passed away. Her passing was tragically revealed by her family in a statement.
“It saddens our hearts to announce that Anna Shay, a loving mother, grandmother, charismatic star, and our brightest ray of sunshine, has passed away at the young age of 62 from a stroke,” stated Anna’s family in a statement.
They said, “Anna gave us many life lessons on how to enjoy the good things in life and not take life too seriously. Her impact on our lives will be forever missed but never forgotten.” Anna is survived by her son Kenny Kemp.
Who was Anna Shay?
Japan is where Anna Shay was born and raised. American businessman Edward Shay founded the multinational defence contractor Pacific Architects and Engineers. He was also her father. On the other hand, not much is known about her mother, Ai Oizumi Shay, who was a mixed-race woman of Russian and Japanese descent. She expired in 2015.
Post her dad’s demise in 1995, Shay’s brother Allen became the CEO of Pacific Architects. She and her brother sold the business to the aerospace giant Lockheed Martin in the year 2006.
In 2021, Anna shot to popularity after appearing in Netflix’s show Bling Empire. Among the many socialites who make up the cast of the show are Kane Lim, Gabriel, Christine Chiu, Kim Lee, and Jaime Xie.

Shay’s co-star Kim Lee told Variety, “This is such a huge shock. I have so much affection for Anna. I know that we had issues on the programme but in real life, I had such a fantastic relationship with her outside of the show.”
She further remarked, “We saw eye to eye, and she gave me so many words of wisdom I will never forget. There is no one like Anna Shay; she was a wonderful, singular person who was adored by a great number of people. My thoughts are with her family at this difficult time.”
