By taboo, what do we mean? Society as it already exists will not support it because it is based on certain cultural beliefs that people have historically seen as being too sacred to be violated. However, taboo relationships have their own charm, just like practically everything that is forbidden. Some have the courage to investigate it, while others are simply too terrified to look into its most sinister aspects. In his 2018 film “The House That Jack Built,” Lars von Trier asserts that art is always a reflection of man’s deepest impulses. Some of the greatest films in this category are available on Netflix. Numerous films have ventured into these murky waters of forbidden desires.

Lady Chatterley’s Lover (2022)
The first book by D. H. Lawrence created a great deal of controversy when it was published. It was once prohibited in several nations, and in 1960, its publisher was put to trial in Britain for obscenity as a result. The narrative centres on a turbulent relationship between a married, upper-class woman and the working-class man who looks after the game on the magnificent Chatterley estate in Wragby. When Connie first meets gamekeeper Oliver Mellors, they fall in love right away and discover they have a lot in common despite their differences. You may watch the movie right here.
Lust Stories (2018)
This is an anthology film with four shorts each from four prominent Indian directors. The four directors who teamed together for this project are Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar, Dibakar Banerjee, and Karan Johar. They previously collaborated on a project in 2014 called “Bombay Talkies.” Sexual desire plays a role in all of the stories. In the first narrative, a teacher falls in love with one of her students, although she is only involved because she is desperate for sex and her boyfriend lives far away. Another narrative, skillfully shot within a tiny Mumbai flat, depicts a maid who works for a young guy who she has an intense sexual relationship with; nevertheless, things take an intriguing turn when his parents meet his fiancee’s parents in the same apartment.
The trio in the third tale are all middle-aged. Three of them are married, while the other two are the husband’s longtime friends. But while he’s not looking, the husband finds out that his friend and wife are stirring up trouble beneath the covers. Despite their wealth, none of the characters appear content with their lives, which is likely a reflection of how soulless people are in our world, continually separating us from our surroundings. Perhaps the best of the bunch is the comedy that is the fourth film. It tells the tale of a girl who was just married into a conventional Indian household. Despite her husband’s sweetness, she still doesn’t feel fulfilled sexually, so she looks for other ways to indulge herself. This short, which explores the ways in which women express their wants, takes a daring step in Indian cinema with its humorous scene featuring a public show of sexual pleasure. Rebecca (2020)
The 2020 Netflix movie is not the first adaptation of Daphne du Maurier’s 1938 book “Rebecca.” The most well-known adaption was arguably Alfred Hitchcock’s 1940 film, which took home the Best Picture Oscar. In the 2020 online film, an older American socialite takes the 20-something British female protagonist, played by Lily James, on a global tour where she meets the dashing widower Maxim “Max” de Winter (Armie Hammer). After they get married and fall in love, the main character goes to her husband’s huge estate in Cornwall, Manderley, with him. But the protagonist’s Cinderella-like fantasy soon fades when she discovers that Rebecca, her husband’s deceased first wife, is her constant companion. Rebecca and her cousin Jack Favell (Sam Riley) have a relationship that is taboo in the novel. You may view the movie right here.
