Where Are Greg and Cathe Laurie Now?

‘Jesus Revolution’ follows a group of people who are brought together by their faith and desire to do good in the world. The movie is based on the true tale of the religious movement in the late 1960s. To start the revolution that swept the nation and the world by storm, Lonnie Frisbee and Chuck Smith team up to persuade the hippies to stand by Jesus. In between, Greg and Cathe, two young individuals who are pulled to the movement in search of knowledge and a higher purpose, are introduced to us. Greg and Cathe fall in love while travelling the same route. Even if the going isn’t always easy, they stick together and overcome every obstacle. One of the best parts of the movie is their love story, so you might be wondering where they are now. Here is all the information you require about Cathe and Greg Laurie.

Where are Cathe and Greg Laurie Today?

Greg and Cathe Laurie are residents of Newport Beach, California. They wed in 1974, and now have five grandkids in addition to their two sons, Christopher and Jonathan. 2008 saw the death of Christopher as a result of an automobile accident. Greg co-wrote the book that served as the basis for the movie “Jesus Revolution.” He thinks the timing of the movie is amazing.

“I think God has been working on it from the beginning. You see, here’s the problem, here’s the solution — and so the timing does seem remarkable,” he said. “As we look at the despondency among [today’s] young people, as revealed by a CDC report recently, where one out of every three teenage girls contemplates suicide, to an outbreak of prayer and repentance on the campus of Asbury College [in Kentucky], you see, here’s the problem, here’s the solution.

The movie uses some artistic licence, but for the most part it stays loyal to the real history of the revolution. Chuck Smith concludes by telling Greg that he is free to found a new church. In the real world, Greg committed himself to this chance to serve the Lord at the Harvest Christian Fellowship church in Riverside, California. He is currently the senior pastor there. Additionally, he serves on the boards of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Samaritan’s Purse.

Despite not going to college after high school, Greg holds honorary doctorates from Biola University and Azusa Pacific University. He has written several works that have won honours. The Upside-Down Church, Every Day with Jesus, Wrestling With God, and Losers and Winners, Saints and Sinners: How to Finish Strong in the Spiritual Race are just a few of the titles that they have. Greg Laurie is the host of the TV programme “Knowing God with Greg Laurie” and the podcast “A New Beginning,” both of which discuss how the biblical teachings apply to our lives today. In addition to this, he has made appearances on networks like CNN and Fox News, and he frequently appears on the Trinity Broadcasting Network.

Greg started Harvest Crusades, “a large-scale evangelistic outreach project,” in 1990. Over three million people have attended Harvest Crusades events throughout the world. Laurie aspires to provide the same assistance and contribute to the awakening that occurred in the late 1960s and early 1970s through his work. He thinks that another comparable revolution is overdue in the world. “In so many respects, it appears that the late 1960s and early 1970s and today are directly comparable. You do have a young generation that appears to be searching in a way that I haven’t seen since the youth of my (our) generation. There is an atmosphere of desperation. Another spiritual awakening is necessary, he declared.
