Kanye West has resumed his career. The rapper from Good Morning recently performed live for the first time after making antisemitic slurs. He most recently appeared on stage with Travis Scott during the Utopia Concert in Rome’s Circus Maximus.
Scott described Ye as the “only human on this mother f—king planet that has ever walked side by side with me through anything and every mother f—king thing” as he introduced the controversial rapper-turned-fashion designer to the crowd.
Kanye West makes surprise appearance at Travis Scott’s Rome concert
During his performance in Rome on Monday night, Travis Scott invited his close friend and fellow musician Kanye West to the stage. Since his antisemitic tirades began in October 2022, the Donda rapper hasn’t been seen onstage performing until now.
Ye entertained the audience by singing the songs Praise God and Can’t Tell Me Nothing. There is no ‘Utopia’ without Kanye West, Scott proclaimed to the crowd. Without Kanye West, Travis Scott would not exist. Without Kanye West, Rome would not exist. Make a racket for Ye.
West appeared to be a little out of practise because he seemed to miss the majority of the words. He was saved by the backdrop track, though. According to a performance video that has surfaced online, he performed the song Can’t Tell Me Nothing from his 2007 album Graduation.
The Grammy winner also played Praise God from his 2021 album Donda in addition to this. Kanye and Scott are tied to one another through the mothers of their children in addition to their musical collaborations.
The rapper, who was born in Atlanta, was previously wed to Kim Kardashian. North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm are the names of the former couple’s four children. Travis, on the other hand, has had two children with Kim’s eldest sister, Kylie Jenner.
Here’s all you need to know about Kanye West’s antisemitic remarks
For those of you who don’t know, in October 2022, the founder of Yeezy made headlines when he declared on Twitter that he wished “to go death con 3 ON JEWISH PEOPLE.”
“The funny thing is I actually can’t be Anti Semitic because black people are actually Jews,” Kanye quipped at that time. He continued by saying in a slew of since-deleted tweets, “Also You guys have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda.”
Then, the singer of the hit song “Flashing Lights” posted screenshots of their chats. He wrote in one of his messages, “Ima use you as an example to show the Jewish people who told you to call me that no one can threaten or influence me.”
In the past, Kanye praised Hitler and claimed that the Jewish media had prevented him from speaking. Numerous prestigious companies, including Adidas, Balenciaga, and Gap, severed their relationships with the musician shortly after his antisemitic comments.
