The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh Part 3 – What’s Next for the Series

‘The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh Part 2’ is a high-fantasy action-adventure anime film directed by Noriyuki Abe and Bob Shirahata. Though this movie and part 1 are based on Suzuki’s original plot, which Rintarou Ikeda converted into a feature-length script, they both belong to the expansive “The Seven Deadly Sins” universe that mangaka Nakaba Suzuki established. Elizabeth is cursed in the previous movie by Priest, a horrible creature working for Deathpierce, the vengeful new King of Edinburgh, and Tristan, Elizabeth’s son with Meliodas, sets out on a quest to free his mother. He meets a mysterious fairy who wants to break into Edinburgh Castle and learns afterwards that it was Lancelot, the child of Ban and Elaine.

The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh Part 2 earned positive reviews from critics and viewers alike after its premiere, gaining appreciation for its plot and action. We have the answer to your question on whether “The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh” will have a part 3.

Will The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh Part 3 Happen?

The sequel to “The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh” debuted on Netflix on August 8, 2023. Release Day for Part 1 was December 20, 2022. What is known about section 3 is listed below.

The creation of a third “Grudge of Edinburgh” movie has not yet been confirmed by the movie’s producers or Netflix management. Since “Grudge of Edinburgh” is a single movie that was split into two parts, it is safe to assume that there won’t be a third movie. ‘The Seven Deadly Sins’ is a vast multimedia franchise, nevertheless. The original manga series as well as the related anime programmes have ended, but a follow-up manga titled “Four Knights of the Apocalypse” started publication in January 2021 and is still running strong today. It will be the subject of an anime series that will debut later this year. In addition, aside from “Grudge of Edinburgh,” there have been two further “Seven Deadly Sins” films, and all three of them were based on original stories by Suzuki. As a result, the anime world can continue to grow in this manner by adapting Suzuki’s stories into films.

Tristan and Lancelot come up against Deathpierce and Priest in “The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh Part 2” (also known as “Nanatsu no Taizai: Ensa no Edinburgh Part 2”). Finally persuaded by Lancelot to embrace the abilities passed down from his father, Tristan unleashes Hellfire to vanquish Deathpierce and Priest. Tristan and Lancelot follow Deathpierce as he flees to another dimension after the Sins arrive. Priest is easily defeated by Elizabeth, who has since emerged from the curse, freeing the five Grey Demons that were employed to make him.

Deathpierce’s Chaos Staff transforms him into a monster in the other dimension, but Tristan completely embraces his demonic abilities and vanquishes the monster. In the end, he goes back to his family, taking Deathpierce with him, who is no longer under the sway of Arthur Pendragon’s Chaos Staff. Lancelot, meantime, carries on with his journey while Jericho follows. He pauses just before the image disappears and appears to be waiting for Jericho.

The forthcoming anime “Four Knights of the Apocalypse” is believed to follow the adventures of Tristan, Gawain, Percival, and Lancelot as the four apocalyptic knights who are foretold to bring about the end of the world and the downfall of Arthur Pendragon and his Eternal Kingdom. The period in between the manga’s first installment and its sequel is another potential setting for original films.

The ‘Four Knights of the Apocalypse’ are expected to debut on October 8, 2023. If a potential ‘The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh Part 2’ movie sequel enters production in the coming months, it might release in Q2 2025.
