The show’s host Nicole Byer alone brought him to public attention, albeit he, the well-known comedian, and judge/pastry chef/chocolatier Jacque Torres all came in second.
In a Vulture interview, Jacque once remarked, “I think Nicole made Wes.” “Nicole for some reason decided to constantly phone Wes. Everyone enjoys staring at him because he is a handsome man. The comedian, actress, and host later admitted openly, “[The producers] were like, ‘And Wes is going to bring in the trophy.'” Then I asked, “Where is he?” Who is Wes? Then it developed into a thing. Wes stated on Nicole’s podcast “Why Won’t You Date Me?” that he finds it “funny” since he is essentially portrayed as eye candy and muscle guy alone on “Nailed It!” Both strange and embarrassing, it. Particularly considering that the entire joke in the first and second seasons is that “I’m terrible at my job,” which is obviously not the case at all.
