From January 14, 2022, Netflix will stream Ye Kaali Kaali Ankhein, an Indian webseries. Sidharth Sengupta is also the director of the romantic-drama-thriller. The online show also stars Tahir Raj Bhasin, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, and Anchal Singh as the main protagonists. Anahata Menon and Varun Badola also contributed to the script. The TV show, which is hosted by the OTT behemoth, is available in both Hindi and English.
Ye Kaali Kaali Ankhein Story
The story centres around Vikrant (Tahir) and Shweta Tripathi, a couple in deep love (Shikha). They’re having a great time with each other until Purva (Anchal Singh), the evil eye, appears. Vikrant is the son of a powerful political family, and he has a strong yearning for him. She is also willing to go to any length to gain him. Vikrant, on the other hand, is up against the clock as he descends a dark and dangerous road in order to reclaim his life. Keep an eye on him to see if he succeeds.

Ye Kaali Kaali Ankhein is an edgy narrative that features a foreboding repetition of Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic song from Baazigar. Vikrant’s story is about a man who is caught in a web of wicked desire and true love. Tahir Raj Bhasin is the series’ main protagonist. His performance is outstanding. Shweta Tripathi Sharma and Anchal Singh also contribute significantly to the show. Saurabh Shukla, Satish Kaushik, Arunoday Singh, Brijendra Kala, Surya Sharma, Anantvijay Joshi, and Sunita Rajwar all contribute significantly to the supporting characters. The cinematography, on the other hand, is sharp and precise. The direction, on the other hand, can be improved to some amount. Overall, it lives up to the anticipation and is on everyone’s must-see list.
Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein is truly good, in a twist unlike any you’re going to see on the show. The eight-episode Netflix series is exactly what Haseen Dillruba wishes it was in its most lurid dreams, a kitsch throwback to both trashy pulp fiction and 90s Hindi film.
While that Taapsee Pannu-starrer was damaged by a jumbled screenplay, which was plagued by a superiority complex—it looked down on the genre it was supposed to adore—Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein succeeds in mixing delectably dark humour with action-thriller aspects. Maintaining tonal consistency across a full season is a difficult task for any filmmaker, especially when the genre changes every two episodes, but director Sidharth Sengupta, for the most part, keeps the narrative on course, even when his characters’ behavior threatens to derail it.
