Outlast (2023-)
Similar to the format of “Alone,” Netflix’s “Outlast” is a survival reality series that pits 16 people against one another in the Alaskan wilderness for the chance to win a life-changing sum of money. A group of British men and women are abandoned in the woods on an uninhabited Pacific island in the British reality TV series “The Island with Bear Grylls,” which stars Bear Grylls. Similar to “Alone,” the competitors are dispersed over the island alone and must film themselves while overcoming all of the mental and physical obstacles that the wilderness presents.
