For its sixteenth season, Married at First Sight moves to Nashville, Tennessee, where 10 individuals will embark on a 23-episode adventure to find their possible life partners.
As usual, the couples will wed a total stranger, vacation as a married couple, and then move in together. Each newlywed will have to confront the unpleasant reality of their marital status when the eight-week social experiment is through and choose between staying married and building a future together or getting a divorce and going their own ways.
Kevin Frazier of Entertainment Tonight will host MAFS: Matchmaking Special on December 28 at 8 p.m. ET on Lifetime, which will give viewers an exclusive inside look at the rigorous process that goes into matching the five Nashville couples who will get married at first sight. This special will air before the premiere of Married at First Sight.
Then, on December 29, a second Lifetime special called MAFS: Kick-Off Special will air. During this special, Frazier will debate and discuss the five newly paired Nashville couples who are about to get married at first sight with a group of superfans and find out their predictions for what each couple will decide on Decision Day. Former MAFS favorites will also share updates on their present relationships and lives.
On Jan. 4, at 10 p.m. ET, Keshia Knight Pulliam will host Married at First Sight: Afterparty, during which she will speak with the cast and obtain the latest information.

Dr. Pepper Schwartz
Professor of Sociology at the University of Washington is Dr. Pepper Schwartz. She earned her B.A., M.A., Phi Beta Kappa, Magna Cum Laude, and degrees in sociology from Yale University and Washington University, both in St. Louis. She also holds an M.Phil. and a Ph.D. in sociology from Yale. She currently serves as the Chair of the Advisory Committee for the San Francisco Institute for Integral Studies’ Ph.D. in sexuality studies.
